A touch of Sweetness

Looking into the night sky
Saw a moon so round
Remembering the memories she cried
Closed her eyes as tears rolled down
Gone with the wind her hopes so dear
Broken into pieces her delicate heart
Not coming back what she held so dear
Just move on no matter how hard

Drying her tears she is trying
Walk away she has to
A hand held out with a handkerchief
A sudden warm embrace she’s pulled into
“Don’t cry alone anymore it hurts me
I’ll be there for you I promise
Here rest on my shoulder”
And again she broke into tears

When all hope is gone
Thought she couldn’t go on
A warm soul pulls her in
Told her she has to breathe

She lay gazing at the night sky
Looking at the sparkling stars
Looked to her side and cried
Thankful for the soul that’s given her hope once more
